Give yourself permission for Self-Care
I know what it's like to leave a twelve hour shift with an aching back, sore feet, and complete mental exhaustion. The strain and effort it takes to be a professional caregiver is draining and leaves us with little to no room for ourselves. Caring for the Caregiver uses multiple schools of yoga to restore and revitalize your body and spirit.
We have unique physical demands where injury is a looming threat and stress can rock our sensibilities. Self-care is instrumental for our health and so it is of utmost importance that we make time for ourselves.
Let's take care of ourselves so we can take care of others.
Soothe & Rejuvenate
In combination with meditation, I will guide you through specific poses to relax the body, calm the mind, and soothe your spirit. Breathing exercises, restorative yoga, and sound baths are some of the essential tools to awaken your body and soul.
Stretch & Strengthen
We will use Vinyasa flow to develop strength in typical problem areas: the back, shoulders, neck, legs, and feet. This practice purposefully targets flexibility and muscle tone, which both burns excess fat and develops resistance to on-the-job injury.
