I understand how yoga can seem intimidating. I want to break down the shape of yoga, piece by piece so you feel empowered.  By creating careful and purposeful adjustments, your body may feel strengthened and pain free. In as little as one session, master poses from Downward Facing Dog to Chaturanga to Warrior 1 and even more! 

My modifications are gentle in accommodation with your body. Can't touch your toes? Scared of spinal twists? Intimidated by Warrior 2?  I've got your back. We will play with plenty of blocks, blankets, chairs, and straps to make you feel comfortable. 

And most of all, let's have fun!


Feel Comfortable in Your Body Again with Chair Yoga

Chair yoga a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. It is one of the gentlest forms of yoga available. 

Four Weeks
This is a gentle course designed for people with limited mobility, injuries, or new beginners. It will be off the floor, so postures become accessible to you. Chair Yoga is simply yoga on a chair: some postures include Warrior 1 and 2, Downward Facing Dog, and even Tree pose, all while sitting on a chair! I will provide an outline with postures described in depth with cues and alignment to practice at home.

We will meet once a week to improve strength, stability, posture, and flexibility.

Goals and Intention:
Feel comfortable and empowered in your body
Become familiar with yoga poses
Increase awareness in your body
Improve posture, flexibility, and strength

With time and practice, you can begin your yoga story and eventually move off the chair down to the mat.


Learn to Practice at Home: for Experienced Beginners

Four Weeks  
If you have some experience in yoga, meaning you are familiar with Downward Facing Dog, this course will heighten your practice to create meaningful change in your body and mind. Common concerns from newer students include:

“Does this look right?”
“What am I supposed to be feeling?”
“I’m scared of injuring myself.”

These are all valid points. Postures can be confusing and intimidating, especially when lost among a class of students. With instruction from me, I will break down the shape of yoga, so you can feel empowered by the end of the lesson.

We will meet each week and fine tune familiar yoga poses and flows to focus on proper alignment. At the end of this course, you will be able to practice Sun Salutation at home with comfort and ease without worrying misalignment and potential injuries.
